Wolff Dominates Barnstomers

The 16u Moose squad had everything going for them on Wednesday night. After a couple days of rest from the long weekend tournament, the Moose picked up right where they left off.

During the weekend, the 16u Moose went 3-1, showing off impressive pitching throughout a tournament that forced the coaching staff to unleash all arms. Fast forward to Wednesday at 4:30pm, a hungry pitcher arrived at Northwest Catholic High School with one objective in mind: dominate.

Devin Wolff, a class of 2023 right hander at Kingswood Oxford has been on the rise recently. After a successful spring season with the Wyverns, Wolff is right where he wants to be with the Moose after two outings. Although the first outing was solid, Wolff took it to a whole other level of dominance in his second start. The six foot five rising star went five innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out twelve. He had the fast ball going, he had the curveball going, he had it all going.

A pitchers best friend is run support as we all know, and Wolff got that going for him on Wednesday night as well, thanks to catcher Brady Nichols. After two runs were splashed on the board in the second inning, Nichols opened up the scorebook with a three run shot to continue the monster second inning.

The Moose bats got rolling early and never stopped as they took down the Barnstomers 11-1.
