Late Rally Gives 15u Moose First Win of Tournament

A day filled with late miracles, the 15u Moose were able to apply some of that Moose Miracle Magic with an enormous rally in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a win. After giving up one in the top of the first inning to the NE Knights, four scoreless innings followed from both squads.

Phenomenal pitching from Harrison Engle allowed for the Moose army to stay in the ball game despite having quiet bats early on. Engle threw 5.1 innings with four hits, one run and seven strike outs. Dom Trolio came in relief after playing stellar shortstop all game. Trolio went 1.2 innings with two strikeouts and no runs.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, three hits to start the inning from Wells, Trolio and Balcerzak brought the bases loaded with a lot of pressure on the NE Knights. Bodie Swanson took one for the team by wearing a pitch to tie the game. Soon to follow, Haider and Tantraporn knocked in the next three runs to make it 4-1 Moose heading to the seventh.

The 15u Moose were able to close it out after a strong comeback. More to come in the Firecracker Baseball tournament for this squad.
