Right hander Tabor Engle started the game, going five innings off 70 pitches. Morro went two innings off 30 pitches. Neither pitcher gave up a single hit. A combined no-hitter out of Engle and Morro awards them play of the week. All summer, Tabor Engle had been struggling with arm injuries, but on Sunday, he looked like a different man.
No one could touch his fastball. His hanging curveball got each, and every Swanny Baseball batter crossed up. Impressive relief by Anthony Morro allowed for the Moose to come away with the tie and a no-hitter.
What a performance!
